Dr. Lavallée is a certified medical specialist in medical microbiology and infectious diseases. His expertise is in antibacterial resistance, diagnostic laboratory management, and clinical epidemiology.

Research Unit

His area of research focuses on the epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment of infections caused by multidrug-resistant bacteria (particularly enterobacteriaceae). His research activities also include hospital infection epidemiology and the optimization of laboratory processes.
