Financement de projets de recherche prometteurs sur le cancer

Four researchers from the immunology and oncology research axis of the Centre de recherché de l’Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont received a total of $ 360,000 in support of their work. Funding from the Cancer Research Society aims to support 80 promising research projects across the country that help prevent, detect and treat all types of cancer.

Congratulations to our researchers for obtaining funding in the following categories:

 

Causes and prevention - the most effective approach to reducing the risk of developing the disease

1. Research project: Nascent chromatin structure as a modulator of cellular senescence in cancer

 

Treatment – the development of new treatments, including targeted or personalized therapies

1. Research project: The effect of EGFL7 on graft-versus-host disease and graft-versus-leukemia effect

  • Researcher: Martin Guimond
  • Funded in partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada

 

2. Research projet: Influence of Ikaros on treatment response in acute lymphocytic leukemia

  • Researcher: Eric Milot
  • Funded in partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada
