Dr. Janos G. Filep (MD, PhD) heads the Innate Immunology and Vascular Immunology Research Unit. He is also a full professor in the Department of Pathology and Cellular Biology at Université de Montréal.

His extensive expertise covers vascular immunology/inflammation (with a focus on leukocyte and endothelial cell pathophysiology), the regulation of the activation of anti-inflammatory cells, and cardiovascular disease. His research is recognized for contributing to the concept of active inflammation resolution and for identifying the mediators, mechanisms and control points that govern this process.
