Dr. Kiss’s main areas of interest are allogeneic transplantation, acute leukemia and paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH), an extremely rare red blood cell disease. His research projects aim to improve transplantation in older patients and reduce post-transplant complications, such as thrombotic microangiopathy. He is also helping to develop algorithms and explore treatment options for PNH to improve patients’ overall survival rates and quality of life.
